A

It is a deviation from set point and becomes greater. It makes a situation worse and is rarely found in healthy people.

What are the directional terms? What do they mean?

A

Superior means above, Inferior means below, Anterior means front, and Posterior means back. Medial means close to the midline, and Lateral means away from the midline. Proximal means close to the point of attachment, and Distal means far from the point of attachment. Superficial means close to the surface, and Deep means toward the interior of the body.
