Dissociative amnesia

A

Memory failure caused by serious stress. Unable to recall autobiographical information.

4 types:

  1. localized: forgetting things from just the traumatic event
  2. Continuous: forget event + current memories
  3. Systemized: specific forgetting (the one person who caused trauma)
  4. Generalized: forget life history
