A passageway in the wrist, about an inch wide, that protects the median nerve and flexor tendons that bend the fingers and thumb.

When the passageway of the wrist becomes swollen and puts pressure on the median nerve, resulting in pain and numbness in the hand.

What is the medication for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome?
A
Splinting of the wrist, medication, or a steroid injection can often relieve painful symptoms. However, in persistent cases, surgery may be necessary to prevent permanent damage.
