A

Weight/volume = 1g in 100ml (or 10mg in 1 ml)
Weight/weight = 1g in 100g

How to write micrograms in charts?

A

Write them as decimals in milligrams e.g. 500 micrograms as 0.5mg

What to do when changing from capsule to liquid form of drug?

A

Check BNF for any conversions
For example - phenytoin, digoxin, sodium fusidate

Phenytoin 100mg capsule is equivalent to 92mg liquid (capsule has sodium salt of phenytoin, liquid has phenytoin base)
