Triangular trade
- Tax imported molasses in effort to stop north American trade with French West Indies. Ineffective because of smuggling. If it was successful, colonies would’ve decreased economic.
Molasses act
Lodging place for travelers, drinking house, gossip, discuss business, news. Along main routes of travel and cities. Bowling alleys, pool tables, bars, gambling. All social classes. Show democracy.
Taverns
Presbyterianism, congregationalism, and rebellion. People knew rebellion was coming against British crown and politics was confusing church.
