How are the blood types classified?
They are classified according to the presence or absence of antigens on the surface of red blood cells.
What is an Antigen?
A substance that stimulates an immune response if they are foreign to the body.
What type of antigen does Type A has?
A antigen on the surface.
What type of antigen does Type B has?
B antigen on the surface.
What type of antigen does Type AB has?
Has both A antigen and the B antigen on the surface.
What type of antigen does Type O has?
Has no antigens on the surface.
