Arthritis
Inflammation of one or more joints
Disease-Modifying anti rheumatic drugs (DMARDs)
Drugs used in the treatment of arthritic diseases that have the potential to arrest or slow the actual disease process.
Done nomogram
A standard plot of graphic data for rating the severity of aspirin toxicity following overdose.
Gout
Hyperuricemia (elevated uric acid); the arthritis caused by tissue buildup of uric acid crystals
Inflammation
A localized protective response stimulated by injury to tissues that serves to destroy, dilute, or wall off (sequester) both the injurioius agent and the injured tissue.
NSAIDs
A large and chemically diverse group of drugs that possess analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti arthritic , and antipyretic activity.
Rheumatism
General term for any of several disorders characterized by inflammation, degeneration, or metabolic derangement of connective tissue structures, especially joints and related structures.
Salicylism
The syndrome of salicylate toxicity, including such symptoms as tinnitus, nausea, and vomiting.
