In the bladder but can affect all parts of the urinary tract.

How does an Urinary infection can occur?
When bacteria cling to the opening of the urethra and begin to multiply, causing an infection.
What is the bacterium most often associated with UTI?
E. coli, a bacterium from the digestive tract.
How does E. coli gets into the bladder?
Is transferred from the anus through the urethra into the bladder.
what are the main symptoms of the common Urinary infections?
Burning, frequency and urgency of urination, Hematuria and pain in the lower abdomen can also occur.
What is the treatment used to treat Urinary infection?
Oral antibiotics.
What is the major defense against UTIs?
Complete emptying of the bladder during urination.
