Children raised in low SES are two times more likely to die as a result of accidents and it has to do with:

Preschoolers experience as many as 7 to 10 colds per year when adults have usually 2-3. This is so that their immune system develops and they can be expose dot different strains of virus and be immune to it
What is obesity? Why is it becoming more prevalent in the past 20 years?
Obesity is body weight that is more than 20% higher than average weight for a person of a particular age and height
- its becoming more common because of lifestyle changes like playing outdoors less and more on computers and laptops
What is the optimal strategy in overcoming obesity in preschool years?
parents providing a variety of low-fat and high nutrition foods that are high in iron and be able to expose kids to new food
