A capillary and lacteal to pick up the digested nutrients.
What happens to the nutrients after they are absorbed by the Villi?
They are transported by blood to all cells of the body.
What happens to the undigested food?
It reaches the ileo-cecal valve and enters the large intestine (colon).
What does the Colon do?
Absorbs water, manufactures vitamins, produces mucous, forms and expels feces.
