A
- be honest (not a confidential source)
- if you need to tell, tell a campus professional (trained)
- stop other peer educators from sharing
- if you are unsure, ask for help
- know your school’s policies

Referrals and campus resources
A
- not all situations need a referrals
- it is possible to give too many referrals
- the person has the right to refuse a referral
- gauge whether the person feels capable of following through
- make sure your referrals are correct
