- preparation = plan, specific, haven’t started, seek resources, 30 days
- action = make measurable change, adopt plan, make mistake, 6 months
- maintenance = consistent, can fall back, life-long
(5 years=termination, most likely to not relapse)

- laggards = 16%, 5th to adapt, very skeptical, high value on traditions, no social contact
