Wi-Fi
uses access points to provide network and internet connectivity to devices
- range, environment, and interface can affect wi-fi connectivity
- some wi-fi signal ranges are of 100 feet
Airplane Mode
a setting on mobile devices that disable all network communication
- found in almost all mobile operating systems
- used to conserve battery life
