Why do we have Juvenile Courts?
Society typically believes that juveniles should not be held as responsible as adults for criminal cases
Juvenile cases require:
Children ages 13-18yrs, closed courtrooms, children have full constitutional rights including attorney
Juvenile Courts main goal: and if it doesn’t work?
Rehabilitation, they can be tried as adults
Main purpose of Probate Courts:
Administer wills and estates
