Acute kidney injury
A sudden loss of kidney function that can lead to fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and other complications.
Benign prostate hypertrophy
A noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that can cause urinary problems.
Chronic kidney disease
A long-term condition in which the kidneys do not function properly.
Dialysis
A treatment that removes waste products and excess fluid from the blood when the kidneys are not working properly.
End-stage renal disease
The final stage of chronic kidney disease, in which the kidneys no longer function.
Epididymitis
An inflammation of the epididymis, a small tube that connects the testicles to the vas deferens.
Fournier gangrene
A rapidly spreading infection of the genital area that can lead to tissue death.
Priapism
A persistent erection that is not caused by sexual stimulation.
Phimosis
A condition in which the foreskin of the penis cannot be retracted.
Paraphimosis
A condition in which the foreskin of the penis becomes trapped behind the glans penis.
Testicular masses
Abnormal growths on the testicles.
Testicular torsion
A twisting of the spermatic cord that can cut off blood supply to the testicle.
Urinary tract infection
An infection of the urinary tract, which can include the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.
