Diabetes mellitus
A metabolic disorder stemming from abnormal pancreatic insulin production and/or diminished peripheral action of insulin.
Type I Diabetes
Results from an autoimmune response whereby the body’s own immune system mistakenly destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas.
Type II Diabetes
Diabetes mellitus occurring later in life from many factors but mostly boiling down to a sedentary lifestyle.

A BMI greater than 30
