aesthetic concept describing the division of the rectangular frame into 3rds both horizontally and vertically placement of subs @ points of intersection = dynamic/pleasing
asymmetric balance
sub on one side; balanced with something else on the other side
lookspace
extra space allowed in the frame to balance subjects gaze
leadroom
extra space in the frame that balances the momentum or implied direction
headroom
space above subjects head to compensate magnatism of frames edge
