- Easier to use (barcode that speeds up verification process and reduces input errors
- More difficult to forge

- used to have registration transferred to the name of the new owner when vehicle is sold
Define Local traffic
Drivers who’s destination is on or in the immediate vicinity of a road which, as displayed on a sign, is closed to certain drivers but open to drivers who can reach their destination only by this road, as well as drivers of scheduled buses.

Seatbelt rules
- No sitting on improvised seat
- must use 3 point seat belt in car
- Kids under 1.35 m must be in child seat with seat belt
- People with disabilities can be in special seat too
- no more people than seatbelts to a car
Seat belts and child restraints
- kids over 1.35m must use 3 point seat belt
- if doesn’t fit properly, kid can use booster seat and back seat
- generally, no seat belt guides can be used
- kids under 1.35m can go into baby/child seats or booster seats (depending on size)
- must follow EU standards and have ECE label or sticker
- kids not allowed to travel in car seat with the back facing an airbag
- kids can sit between 2 car seats if necessary as long as there is a seatbelt
- pregnant women must use 3 point seatbelt

- compensates damage for which person is liable under civil law
- cannot drive with expired licence

- police hand out general form with states the violation of mulder act and an official report is given (not written out). Report contains offence and time, place and circumstances and then is sent to the public prosecutor
- Public prosecutor begins proceedings against violator and asses report to determine course of action
Courses of action that may be chosen by public prosecutor
- No prosecution (no further steps)
- Proposes settlement or compromises (fine)
- Serves writ of summons - offender must appear in court. This happens if the offender refuses to pay fine or offence is very serious
Death/serious bodily harm caused by negligence
forbidden to behave in a way that this happens
Prohibitions to leave scene of accident
- forbidden to leave without reporting personal details and info about the motor vehicle in accident if there is death, injury or damage to goods
- Can’t leave an injured person helpless

Can:
- Give instructions/orders relating to road safety
- Give a stop signal
- ask permission to inspect licence and registration

- disqualify someone from driving (within 24 hours)
- search vehicle and take somewhere to inspect
- check fuel (customs)
- tow and confiscate vehicle

Beginner drivers found to have levels of 0.5% -0.8% (22o micrograms/L-350micrograms/L)
-experienced drivers with 0.8%-1.0% (350micrograms/L-450micrograms/L)
EMA
- Educative measure alcohol and traffic
- 3 days by BR about risks
- in depth information about how behaviour is affected as well as the human body
- Mandatory and failure to attend or participate results in driving ban
EMA is for…
Beginner - 0.8%-1.0% (350-435 micrograms/L)
-Experienced drivers - 1.0%-1.3% (435-570micrograms/L)
ASP
- Alcohol lock program
- 2 years minimum
- Alcohol lock built into the car or mopeds etc… using any other car is not allowed
ASP is for…
- Beginners - 1.0%-1.8% (435-785micrograms/L)
- Experienced - 1.3%-1.8% (570-785micrograms/L)
ASP cannot be given to…
Those with only AM and/or A driving licence
-If offence occurs when person is in control of AM vehicle
Define beginner driver
Those with first licence less than 5 years or those with first licence when under 18 and less than 7 years previously
