Validity of driver’s licence
- 10 years
- after 10 years, go to town hall and get new one
- RDW (dients wegverkeer) will tell you when time has elapsed
- when over 65, get a new licence every 5 years at most

- go to town hall for new one

How does the vehicle registration card work?
Person given code for registration which is used if:
- vehicle changes hands
- registration is suspended
- vehicle is demolished or exported
Why new vehicle registration cards?
- Easier to use (barcode that speeds up verification process and reduces input errors
- More difficult to forge

- Proof of ownership
- used to have registration transferred to the name of the new owner when vehicle is sold
Define Local traffic
