the stress continuum
A
- stage one: mild stress, great zest, acute perception, burnout, a positive charge
- stage two: low energy, less able to relax, headaches, tenseness present, sleep disturbance
- stage three: inability to respond appropriately, irritability, anxiety, feelings of negativism, inability to concentrate, nameless fears
- stage four: terrifying responses caused by adrenalin reactions, uncontrolled trembling and panic, pounding heart, sweating, sheer exhaustion (you should physically work off the adrenalin)
