Command Prompt Steps to wipe a drive

A

run diskpart
list volume (shows volumes)
select volume “x” (selects volume)
(can also add, change, delete, manipulate RAID, mount/dismount, format drives)
clean - wipes all info off drive

Rebuilding a Profile (Registry method and Copy Method)

A

Through Registry or Copying

Registry:
1) Boot in Safe Mode
2) regedit with elevated priv
3) find ProfileList
4) find S-1-5 entry that matches target profile
5) double click “State” subkey
6) Set value to 0
7) Set RefCount to 0 (or create and set to 0)

Copying:
1) Safe mode
2) cmd elevated priv
3) “net user” command
4) Reboot
5) Create new user account w/ unique name
6) Copy contents from old “user” folder into new profile folder (one folder at a time)
7) Verify login works for new user
8) Repeat steps above but delete old account, rename new account correctly
