System Restore - Need restore points created, disabled by default

System Image Recovery (Reimage) - Need default image ready
Startup Repair (Repair Windows) - slew of repairs just on startup process
–Registry, Boot Files, System and drivers, rollsback updates and non-working drivers, runs chkdsk, memory test on RAM
Command Prompt - terminal
Reset this PC (Repair Installation) - total reset of windows
Command Prompt Steps to wipe a drive
run diskpart
list volume (shows volumes)
select volume “x” (selects volume)
(can also add, change, delete, manipulate RAID, mount/dismount, format drives)
clean - wipes all info off drive
Rebuilding a Profile (Registry method and Copy Method)
Through Registry or Copying
Registry:
1) Boot in Safe Mode
2) regedit with elevated priv
3) find ProfileList
4) find S-1-5 entry that matches target profile
5) double click “State” subkey
6) Set value to 0
7) Set RefCount to 0 (or create and set to 0)
Copying:
1) Safe mode
2) cmd elevated priv
3) “net user” command
4) Reboot
5) Create new user account w/ unique name
6) Copy contents from old “user” folder into new profile folder (one folder at a time)
7) Verify login works for new user
8) Repeat steps above but delete old account, rename new account correctly
Proprietary Crashes
Windows - BSoD
Mac - Pinwheel
Typically the result of bad drivers
Sluggishness
Try disabling startup apps in Task Manager

What do you hear?
Is everything plugged in?
Do you smell something weird?
Frequent Shutdowns
Disable fast startup
(Power & Sleep|Additional Power Settings|Shutdown Settings)
Disable sleep mode maybe
Apps Crashing
Low Memory, check processes in task manager
System Instability
Control Panel|Security and Maintenance|View Reliability History
