Perfective vs Punctiliar
A punctiliar action Describes an action that occurs in a single point of time.
Yet, it is not the same as perfective.
A voice came from heaven, “you are my beloved son; with you I am well pleased. “
The perfective aspect… in came - Is clear. It happened.
As it relates to God pleasure in Christ (PLEASED)it is not as straightforward.
God never ceased to be pleased with Christ.
VOICE refers to the relationship between…
The subject and verb.
If the subject does the action of the verb then the verb is in the active voice.
“Bill hit the ball. “ It is in the active voice because, Bill did the hitting.
PASSIVE VOICE
“Bill was hit by the ball. “ “Was hit “is the passive voice because the subject, Bill, was hit. Bill did not do the hitting.
Mood
. The indicative mood is the form of the verb used when making statements and most questions. Every verb you encounter until chapter 26 is in the indicative mood. When you learn the other moods, the precise meaning of the indicative will become clearer.
