Model used to guide appropriate interventions regarding to sex. The P stands for Permission, which requires the therapist to create an atmosphere for permission to raise concerns about sexuality.

Limited Information is provided so the patient has accurate knowledge and the myths are dispelled.
PLISSIT: SS
Specific Suggestions are provided such as positioning alternatives, nonmedical methods to manage pain/stiffness (warm baths), energy conservation, etc.
PLISSIT: IT
Intensive Therapy for patients with enduring sexual problems, specialized training is required and usually refer to other professionals for this unless OT is certified.

Work-hardening program characteristics
Address: productivity, safety, tolerance, and worker behaviors. Interdisciplinary approach, real or simulated work activities, transition between acute care and work, CARF accreditation is required
Work conditioning program characteristics
Address: flexibility, strength, movement, endurance. One discipline provides service, real or simulated work activities, transition between acute care and return to work. Accreditation is NOT required.
