Confirmatory feedback
affirmation that they are on the right track
Corrective feedback
challenging the client to take another perspective - convey thought in the most positive manner

ex: false hopes, discretionary change, the decay curve

implies a return to a previous state; bounce back resilience

represents the continuous effort to cope that is a “normal” part of some people’s lives
