A one-page document that explains the purpose and structure of an organization, a brief history, the people, the activities and function, and contact information.
Background sheet
A form of identification for products or services of a group that differentiates them from others.
Branding
A coordinated and purposeful effort to address and issue, a chief a goal, improve a situation, or solve a problem.
Campaign
the controlled delivery of messages and advertising sent to recipients of postal mail.
Direct mail
Individuals or groups that exist outside the organization but who have some relationship with it.
External public
Qualities or quantities research based on facts and measure all, recordable data.
Formal research
Usually refers to up to the minute news and events that are reported immediately, and take on a factual approach, delivering the what, who, where, when, and why of an incident.
Hard News
A celebrity spokesperson, mass media, advertising, editorial, or public official who can reach a greater number of people at one time.
Impersonal persuader
A worksheet used to give an official statement or an account of an emergency-related, event, or incident, which is distributed publicly to the media.
Incident information worksheet
Research that is not based on qualities or quantitive evidence, including opinion polls, observation, physical evidence, casual interview, and publicity.
Informal Research
Individuals or groups that share an internal identity, such as fire department divisions.
Internal public
The activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communication, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.
Marketing
A one page sheet that alerts the press to an upcoming new event. It is sent out several days before the vent and is followed up with a phone call.
Media Advisory
A dummy copy or draft of a brochure, poster, or other publication to be review and educated before final production.
Mock-up
A form used by photographers ( or departments taking photos) to obtain person’s permission to use his or her photograph or likeness in a publication for an organization.
Model Release
A government grant offering protection for incentive and novelties.
Patent
Using favors, promises, or threats to obtain favors or influence other in return.
Patronage
the focus, angle, main point, usual idea, or new material along with an explanation of how a story will have an impact on an audience.
Peg
