Adaptive behavior
The effectiveness or degree with which individuals meet the standards of personal independence and social responsibility expected for age and cultural groups.
Average
A classification that refers to an IQ score ranging from 90 to 109 (when the mean is 100 and standard deviation of 15).
borderline
A classification that refers to an IQ score.
Developmental delays
a child who is experiencing developmental delays in one or more of the following areas: physical development; cognitive development; communication development; social or emotional development; adaptive development. It must also be determined that, because of the developmental delays, the child needs special education and related services. Developmental delays are defined by the state and must be measured by appropriate diagnostic instruments and procedures.
Developmental cognitive delay
A classification that refers to an IQ score of 69 or below
