Pneumathorax
Air collects in the pleural cavity, causing a collapsed lung.
Hemothorax
Blood filling in the pleural cavity, causing a collapsed lung.
Flail Chest
A rib fracture involving one or more ribs.
Dyspnea
A consistent symptom of painful respiration
Thoracic Outlet Syndrome
Blood vessels and nerves become impressed between the clavical and first rib causing pain and or other symptoms in the shoulder and neck.
Herniated Disk
Rupture or protusion of the nucleus pulposus through the annulus fiprosus of the inverted disc
Spondylolysis
Is a stress fracture in the neural arch (pars interarticular)
Hematuria
Blood in urine
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
The heart muscle becomes abnormally thick (hypertrophied) which makes it hard for the heart to pump blood.
Marfan Syndrome
Inherited disorder affecting connective tissue in the heart, blood vessels, eyes and bones. Vision problems and defects in the large blood vessels leaving the heart are two primary conditions associated with this.
Kehr’s Sign
Pain radiating into the left shoulder that is normally associated with an injury to the spleen.
