Cells that are complex and include all plant and animal cells

Is a single called organism
Name 5 sub cellular structures most animal cells have
Nucleus , cytoplasm ,cell membrane,mitochondria,ribosomes
Name the 3 extra parts of an plant cell
Rigid cell wall , large vacuole, chloroplasts
What is the job of the nucleus
Contains genetic material that controls the activities of the cell
What is the job of the cytoplasm
A gel like substance where most of the chemical reactions take
place ( contains enzymes to control these reactions)
What is the job of the cell membrane
Holds the cell together and controls what goes in and what goes out
What is the job of the mitochondria
Where most reactions of RESPIRATION take place.
What do the ribosomes do
Involved in the translation of genetic material in the synthesise of proteins
What is the description of a RIGID CELL WALL
Made of cellulose . It supports the cell and strengthens it keeping its shape
What does a LARGE VACUOLE do,
Contains cell sap , which is a weak solution of sugar and salts. It also maintains internal pressure within the cell
What do chloroplasts do
This is where photosynthesis occurs , which makes food for the plant, chrlophyll a green substance in the chloroplasts do this
What 5 things do a bacterial cell contain
Chromosomal DNA ,ribosomes ,cell membrane ,plasmid DNA ,flagellum
Are bacteria cells smaller or larger than a animal /plant cell
No they are much smaller
What is the role of chromosomal DNA
(One long circular chromosome) controls the cells activities and replication , it floats free in the cytoplasm .not in the nucleus
