fear or anxiety when facing communicating in situations that make u uncomfortable

an arbitrary(based on random choice) representation of something else. No direct connection between it and what it represents

consequence or indicator of something specific which cannot be changed by arbitrary labels. Causal connection with what it refers to (smoke is sign of fire)
meaning
what a symbol represents
social construction of meaning
through the social, society and relational use of symbols, meanings become associated and assigned to symbols, developed over time (explain the meaning to others, something didnt mean anything but someone explains it to other making it become somethign)
medium
the means or channel through which a message is conveyed, can also affect the meaning
communication
the transactional use of symbols, influenced, guided, understood in the context of relationships
frame
a context, specific situation, basic forms of knowledge that provide a definition of a scenario
communication frame
a boundary around a conversation that pulls one’s attention toward certain things and away from others
representation
describes facts or can face information
presentation
one person’s particular version of the facts or events how you say a fact
action
act of sender sending a message to receiver (voicemail)
interaction
exchange of information between two or more individuals
transaction
construction of shared meanings of understandings between two or more individuals
constitutive approach to communication
communication can create or bring into existence something that has not been there before, such as an agreement, a contract, an identity, relationships, cultures etc
