A scope management plan is a plan that defines how to create project scope, WBS, baseline, etc.
It is associated with project scope management.
What is the relationship between BA and PM?
Collaborative partnership.
What are some characteristics for adaptive environment in project scope management?
- Scope is NOT fully defined at start
- There might be process for scope refinement.
- Emerging requirements is adaptive
- Inverted triangle constraints method (Time, scope, cost) -> Scope can vary based on how much time and cost is supported.
What is a product backlog?
It is a source of product requirements. Product owner or team members own the backlog and groom it before the next sprint.
What is a WBS?
WBS is work breakdown structure. It is breaking down the project scope into work packages.

What is a project scope statement?
It is a detailed description of the project scope that focuses on completing all the required work — only the required work — to create deliverables. The Scope statement serves as a point of reference whether change requests are in or out of scope.

The difference between plan scope management and define scope knowledge areas?
Plan scope management concerns how the project/product scope will be defined, validated and controlled. Provides how the scope can be managed. The outputs are scope management plan and requirement management plan.
Whereas define scope is the process of developing a detailed description of the project and product. it provides the product, service or result boundaries and acceptance data. The outputs are project scope statement.
What is the outputs of a Create WBS process?
- Scope baselines that includes WBS, WBS dictionary and product scope statement
- project documents updates.
