What are the boundaries between practice and research?
Research (involving humans) is any manipulation, observation, or study of a human being… done with the intent of developing new knowledge and which differs in any way from customary medical practice.
What are the moral principles of action?
the principles of beneficence, non-maleficence, utility, and autonomy; HIPAA
What is informed consent?
requires that patients or subjects give permission for treatment or testing, and that they be given adequate information in order to make educated decisions about undergoing the treatment or test
What four components are required for true autonomy in making participation decisions?

What are the three general code of ethics that rehab researchers can refer to?
