- blood or plasma forms a thin layer between the edges of the wound.
- new tissue cells grow through the blood clot.

A
- healing occurs by granulation.
- new tissue grows from the bottom of the wound towards the top of the surface.
-skin grows over the rough tissue.

what are the signs of an infection?
A
the surrounding area will be
- swollen and red.
- feels warm or throb with pain.
- pus discharge.
- may spread to other tissue if not treated.

An infection that enters through the circulatory system and moves through out the body, causing a possible life-threatening situation.

- difficulty swallowing
- irritability
- headache
- fever
- muscle spasm near the infected area

- tetanus is an infection that is cause by clostridium tetani. it is found in soil, dust, animal faces.
- they are spores that enter the body and begin growing as bacteria.
