60-70
What is the average RHR for females?

Where do you measure heart rate?
Radial or carotid arteries
What category is a heart rate that is less than 60 bpm?
Sinus bradycardia (slow)
What category is a heart rate that is between 60 and 100 bpm?
Normal sinus rhythm
What category is a heart rate that is greater than 100 bpm?
Sinus tachycardia
What is a symptom of overtraining and a reason to reduce exercise?
An elevation in heart rate of more than 5pm over a clients normal RHR that remains over a period of days
What effect does standing/sitting have on HR vs being supine?
Increases it
What effect does digestion have on RHR?
Increases it
What can high/low temperatures and noise do to RHR?
increase it
What is systolic blood pressure?
Pressure created by the heart as it pumps blood into circulation
What is diastolic blood pressure?
Pressure exerted on the artery walls as blood remains in arteries during filling phase
What is normal blood pressure?
Less than 120 SBP, less than 80 DBP
What is elevated blood pressure?
120-129 SBP, less than 80 DBP
What is stage 1 hypertension?
130-139 SBP, 80-89 DBP
