Used for engine failure from rotation to TO climb, once established in cruise = engine failure airborne
Pilot’s Priorities (Pg 100):
Aviate, Navigate, Communicate
Light Signals - SOLID GRN (Pg 100):
On Ground: Clear for TO
In Flight: Cleared to land
Light Signals - FLASHING GRN (Pg 100):
On Ground: Cleared to taxi
In Flight: Return for landing
Light Signals - SOLID RED (Pg 100):
On Ground: STOP
In Flight: Give Way (Go - Around) Keep circling
Light Signals - FLASHING RED (Pg 100):
On Ground: Taxi clear of landing area
In Flight: DO NOT LAND - aerodrome unsafe
Light Signals - FLASHING WHTE (Pg 100):
On Ground: Return to starting point on aerodrome
Trouble Checks (Pg 101):
- > Batt master + Altr switch - ON
-> Radio Master - ON (If Applicable)
-> Volume controls - LEVELS CHECKED
-> Radio Freq. - Correct ch and selected for transmit + recieve
-> Headset - PLUGGED IN
-> Circuit Breakers - CHECKED ALL IN
-> Altr - CHECK FOR FAILURE
If any electrical power remains…
Set transponder to 7600, prepare to land, look for light signals
