Downward channel communication
Channel of communication that originates from an upper level employee of an organization and travels down to a lower level employee

Modified wave scheduling
A schedule based on the same appointment time increments as a wave schedule,but the patients are set up with two or more appointments at once and then only one patient is scheduled for the next appointment slot
Reorder point
The point that determines when a supply will be reordered based on lead time and the supply’s rate of use
Shelf life
The time a product can be stored before it is no longer usuable.
Wave scheduling
A scheduling system in which each appointment is allotted an average amount of time, and each patient is given the number of appointment slots that would be required to finish a necessary procedure based on average time required for that particular procedure.
