What makes a child considered for deprivation?
Absent parent.
Un (der) employed parent.
Deceased parent.
Incapacitated parent.
What is PWE stand for?
Primary Wage earner
For the PWE what is the time frame for how long they have have worked?
It is who has earned the most in the past 24 month period.
How do you see if a parent falls under deprivation of un/der employment?
Must work under 100 hours in a four week period.
What if a worker is unsure of information given at INTAKE regarding absent parent from home?
It may require more investigation.
What is BPAI?
It is the Bureau of Public Assistance Investigation where worker sends referral to have customer looked at more closely act to ensure information is truthful.
Does a U-parent need to apply for UIB if eligible?
Yes.
What is “incapacitated in regards to deprivation?
Incapacitated is where the parent can not support or take care of child over a period of at least 30 days
What can be used to verify incapacitation?
Disability payments.
Medical statements.
Temporary verbal statements
When is incapacitation to be re-established and a new verification is required?
An annual re-determination is expected if incapacity is to last more than one year or is permanent
