Palliative Drugs
Used to improve the quality of life but not cure or treat the disease

Chemical composition and molecular structure of the drug
Generic Name
The official nonproprietary name assigned by the manufacturer with the approval of the United States Adopted Names (USAN)
Brand Name
name under which the drug is sold by the official manufacturer

Gives information about the drug products of major pharmaceutical companies. It is useful in checking for the description, clinical pharmacology, mechanism of action, indications, containdications, warnings, precautions, adverse reactions, overdosage, dosage and administration, and how it is supplied.

Also called legend drugs, these drugs require a doctors prescription either oral or written to be bought or sold
