define hydrocephalus
A
an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the brain, causing increased pressure inside the skull

how is hydrocephalus treated
A
surgical insertion of a drainage system (shunt) that keeps fluid from the brain flowing in the right direction and at the proper rate (one end of the tubing is placed in one of the brain’s ventricles)
