- Jaundice
- Itching
- Abdo pain
- bruising
- Anorexia - can’t be bothered to eat, get nutrients from and spend all money on alcohol
- fatigue
- SOB
- lower limb swelling - liver can’t make protein so fluid leaks - no osmotic pressure in intravascular space

Difference between symptom and sign
A
Symptom is what a patient complains of and a sign is what you can investigate

Why can’t you feel the liver in cirrhosis?
A
It shrinks up under the rib cage

What happens to the size of the liver in hepatitis ?
A
Initially, pt will have acute enlarged liver but as it fibrosis it shrinks

A
Palpable gall bladder + jaundice = pancreatic cancer
