Profile Analysis
CBCL
Is it reliable / valid? Limitations/benefits of
standardization?
Large, diverse, clinical and non clinical sample wide age range and location
High Reliability and validity
CBCL
Under what situation might you choose to administer the assessment? Consider the benefits & limitations?
Broadband assessment - range of psychopathologies
Detects behavioural and emotional problems in children
Comorbidities
CBCL

CBCL
assessment similar / different from others discussed in the course?
Connor Parent Rating Scale
- part of a braoder assessment - cross-informant - focuses on ADHD
CBCL in comparison to MINI and SCID provides a broad overview of child’s functioning and can help identify areas that may require further assessment - more of an intitial screening tool
- can be completed WITHOUT a clinician administering which is where it differs from the others
- identify AREAS OF CONCERN in terms of behavioural, social emotional problems but doesnt diagnose
CBCL
central / defining features of the assessment?
Broadband assessment – screens
for a range of psychopathologies
* Detects behavioral and emotional
