What is acute coronary syndrome?
a range of conditions associated with sudden, reduced blood flow to the heart
What is coronary heart disease?
heart’s blood supply is interrupted by a build-up of fatty substances in the coronary arteries
What is prinzmetal angina?
A form of unstable angina. chest pain caused by inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle felt during resting
What is angina?
Chest pain caused by inadequate blood flow to the heart muscle, felt during exertion
What medication should be done with patients with angina?
Painkillers - aspirin and morphine sulphate

When will a patient with artery blockages begin to feel angina?
60-70% blockage
What is unstable angina?
The fatty blockage has burst, causing a blockage to form. The body breaks the blockage down before it is built up again, repeating the process.
What is myocardial infarction?
Tissues in the heart that have died, due to lack of blood
What is ischemia?
Tissue that has began to die, due to lack of blood, although not yet infarction
