18
Q

What is PATH 2?

A

The segment between 200 ft (60 m) ATS and 1000 ft (300 m) ATS

during an OEI MCP power climb at VY and for a minimum ROC of 150 fpm.

19
Q

What is

Take Off Safety Speed (VTOSS) — or Balked Landing Safety Speed (VBLSS)?

A

The airspeed at which the scheduled climb gradient OEI can be achieved.

20
Q

What is landing Distance?

A
21
Q

What is balked landing distance?

A
22
Q

What is Back Up distance?

A

The horizontal distance from the start of the Take-Off to the TDP during a Back Up Take-Off procedure.

23
Q

what defines an Elevated Heliport?

A
24
Q

What is a Helideck?

A
25
Q

what is a Heliport?

A
26
Q

descrbe OEI after TDP during short field T/O

A
27
Q

When do you use Ground level or elevated Heliport with regular TDP and TDPe?

A
28
Q

difference CAT A & CAT B

A

CAT A means a multi engine helicopters with in case of an engine failure continues safe flight in the event of engine failure

CAT B means single or multi engine helicopter which do not fully meet CAT A standards. CAT B helicopters don’t have quarantied stay up capability in the event of an engine failure.

29
Q

Describe OEI procedure for short field T/O after TDP

A
30
Q

Describe CAT departure vertical Heliport T/O

A
31
Q

describe OEI vertical T/O before TDP / TDPe

A
32
Q

describe OEI after TDP / TDP vertical heliport T/O

A
33
Q

Describe Heliport Back Up T/O

A

Use Back Up T/O if TDPe (70ft) is insufficient.

TDPe up to 400ft. need clear back-up room

34
Q

Describe OEI during back-up T/O before TDP

A
35
Q

Describe OEI back-up T/O after TDP

A
36
Q

Describe Heliport Apporach and Landing

A

General for Heliport Landing:

  • A Heliport Landing Technique is available with an LDP fixed at 50 ftfor unobstructed sites
  • A Variable LDP ( LDPV ) up to 400 ft ALS, is available for sites withobstacles in the Balked Landing profile
