AW 139 Fire Flashcards
If the presence of fire into the engine bay #1 is confirmed, what action is carried out?
The heating system is automatically disengaged and the fuel shut-off valve is closed when the relevant extinguisher indicator/pushbutton swicht is armed
The presence of fire into the engine no.1 bay is detected:
By a fire wire containing a fixed quantity of inert gas
During the ENG FIRE DETECTOR test:
The 1 ENG FIRE warning and the 1 FIRE DET caution appear, the MWL and MCL flash; the ENGINE 1 FIRE-ENGINE 1 FIRE aural message and tones are generated; the red FIRE ENG 1 on the FIRE/EXTING control panel, the FIRE red lamp on the engine control panel and the red lamp on the engine control lever are lit
When the ENG 2 FIRE EXTING is armed
The relative fuel shut-off valve is automatically closed and the relative heater solenoid valve is de-energized
In case of overpressure, with the primary safety relief device failure, the extinguisher agent is:
Fully discharged into the engine bay
Inside the responder there are two switches
The integrity switch detects a leakage of gas and temperature switch detects the highest temperature whose value is stored in the NVM of MAUs
The discharge indicator when activated is
Red
The presence of fire into the engine bay no.1
Causes the automatic disengagement of the heating system and the fuel shut-off valve closure only when the relative extinguisher indicator/push button switch is armed
The two fire extinguisher bottles are
Cross-connected
