Q

How did I manage the design team

A

There were issues with the client design team as they were taking an exceptionally long time to deliver. I conducted several sessions with the team to identify what the issues were and what could be done about it.

Q

Who was responsible for liaising with the public and how was I involved?

A

The client and Contractor stakeholder management team were directly responsible. My involvement was to provide information to go into these communications, and play a role in establishing the communication strategies for these groups.

Q

How did I combat the ‘blame culture’ on the scheme

A

I took ownership and responsibility, and through direct communication I highlighted that blaming others at this stage was pointless, and the best strategy was to collaborate. This was difficult and at first not very successful, but through persistence and time it improved the environment of the team.
