- blockage of 1 or more coronary arteries due to an ischemic event
- long term damage to heart muscle wall
- SOB, chest pains (from left arm to neck), possible heart failure
- heart becomes less efficient =increased HR
- pulmonary oedema in severe cases at alveoli
- sweating, nausea, vomiting
- abnormal heart beating, fatigue, weakness
