cancer of the epithelial or endothelial cells; can be adenocarcinoma (organ or gland) or squamous carcinoma (squamous epithelium)

cancer of the supportive or connective tissues originating from the mesoderm

cancer that originates from plasma cells in the bone marrow

cancers of WBCs in the bone marrow (not including plasma cells)

cancers of lymphoid tissue (glands or nodes; i.e. spleen, tonsils, thymus); they tend to be solid cancers
