C9.1 Hydrocarbons Flashcards

1
Q

How is crude oil formed?

A

It is a finite resource which is found in rocks
It was formed over millions of years from the remains of tiny ancient sea animals and plants buried in mud
Over time later of rock was laid down on top creating high pressure and temperature
