What is done for very high risk of breast cancer patients?
MRI and Mammogram
Mastitis
infection of the breasts, stop breast feeding, common in first babies
Galactorrhea
abnormal discharge of nipple
Folliculitis
ingrown hair in armpit, can be confused for a lymph node
Focal Vascularity
indicative of a tumor “crab”
Gynecomastia
large amounts of male breast tissue, caused by medications, weight loss and hormones
Mastectomy
very important to do in depth breast exam because cancer can come back in breast
Tail of Spence
upper outer quadrant; most common place a tumor occurs
Peau d’ orange
thickening or edema may present itself as enlarged skin pores that give the appearance of orange rind, indicates cancer
Paget’s Disease
persistent eczematous dermatitis of areola and nipple region, unilateral; indicates cancer
