Motor branch movement & Innervation: Musculocutaneous
Movement: innervates several shoulder and elbow flexors essential for ADL and IADL function
Innervation: C5-C7
Motor branch movement & Innervation: Axillary
Movement: innervates the deltoid and teres minor, which position and stabilize the shoulder for reaching.
Innervation: C5 & C6
Motor branch movement & Innervation: Radial
Movement: innervates muscles that extend the elbow, wrist, fingers, and thumb, which are essential for object manipulation and stable grasp - All of the motor innervation of the radial nerve occurs proximal to the wrist
Innervation: C5 - T1
Motor branch movement & Innervation: Median
Movement: innervates key muscles that contribute to forearm pronation, finger flexion, and thumb motion - precise fine motor control and pinch
Innervation: C6-T1
Motor branch movement & Innervation: Ulnar
Movement: innervates two muscles near the elbow that flex the wrist and fingers - hand grip and lateral pinch.
Innervation: C8 & T1
