Q

what is the maternal deprivation theory about?

A

-he argued there was a link between maternal deprivation and deviant behaviour.
-believed if you didn’t have a good relationship with your mother in the first 5 years of your life there was a higher liklihood of juvenile delinquency, emotional difficulties and anti-social behaviour
-if you don’t get this attachment it leads to an inability to form meaningful emotional relationships leading to affectionless psychopathy
