A

-a 36 question questionaire with a large scale defining personalitys
-he gave a paper version out to 1000 people in the 1940s

A

stated your either introvert or extrovert and within that your either stable or neurotic and if your neurotic you have a higher liklihood of criminality

A

-his answers were directly from the person and not researchers interpretation
-one of the first theories to look into personality type
-it is still used today and some school’s, jobs and withim police recruitment may ask you to do his test
-can link to typifications

  • not scientific- responses could be biased and are subjective as it is a self report
  • people also lie and forget, subject to social desireability bias
  • ignores environmental factors
  • unethical- invasive and personal
